Root Canal Treatment Magnolia
A Gentle Way to Resolve Tooth Pain
Root canals have an undeserved reputation; this routine procedure has been unfairly associated with pain and discomfort for a while. But in reality, a root canal is what relieves the pain, not causes it. When the inner tissue of a tooth becomes infected or inflamed, the discomfort can be significant and will not resolve on its own. Root canal treatment allows us to save the natural tooth, eliminate the source of infection, and restore full function, all while keeping you comfortable throughout the process.

What Happens During a Root Canal?
Before we do anything else, the area is thoroughly numbed. From there, a small opening is made in the tooth to access the pulp chamber and root canals, the affected tissue is gently cleaned out, and they’re disinfected before being sealed with a biocompatible material. In most cases, a crown is placed over the treated tooth shortly after to restore its strength and protect it from future damage. The natural tooth is preserved, the infection is resolved, and with proper care, the restored tooth can last for many years to come!
