Dr. Tuka Altekreeti
Dr. Tuka is our experienced, compassionate dentist at Glowsmile Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. Her favorite part of being a dentist is being able to make a real difference in her patients’ lives, whether that’s helping them get out of pain, improving their oral health, or restoring their confidence. She is inspired by seeing the immediate impact of her work, and she enjoys using her hands-on skills, artistic eye, and problem-solving skills to help her patients boost their health. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Tuka decided that she wanted to become a dentist in high school.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Tuka first attended dental school in Egypt, where she graduated in 2013. She has completed extensive additional training to sharpen her skillsets, including a Clinical Mastery Series on full mouth rehabilitation, an oral sedation course, BOTOX training through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, an endodontics course, and a dental implant course through University Implant Educators.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Tuka is from Iraq and comes from a very close-knit and supportive family. She spends a lot of time with her siblings and is especially close with her brother, Dr. Abdul Altekreeti, which is why she chose him to be her business partner! Dr. Tuka is also married with children, so outside of the office, family is a central part of her life. She values trust and hard work and being a support system for her family.
Whenever she isn’t at the practice, Dr. Tuka enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. An interesting fact about Dr. Tuka is that she believes that her greatest achievement isn’t becoming a dentist, but maintaining such a close relationship with her family while building a career that she loves.
